The FFA Chapter recently hosted a petting zoo, providing elementary students the opportunity to observe livestock brought by chapter members. In addition, several FFA officers presented information on proper safety procedures when interacting with animals, including a lesson on animal blind spots.

Miller City High School Student Council members came up with a new activity for our high schoolers to enjoy: an Easter egg hunt! Every high schooler chose three eggs and won all kinds of prizes, like candy, soda, prom tickets, post-prom tickets, gift certificates to eat at Mac's, ice cream from the Wildcat Den, and even tickets to Kings Island! Two very special thank yous go out to Jacki at Mac's for her very generous gift certificates and the Wildcat Den for their donation of ice cream cones!

The annual Athletic Department Detergent Fundraiser will kick off tomorrow and will last until 4/17. The delivery day will on 5/2. Check out the new products like the trash bags and laundry detergent sheets! Or, stick to the same soaps and detergents from the past. School will be in session on Thursday, April 2nd as this is a make-up day built into our school calendar. Reminder: Grandparents' Day will also be celebrated on Thursday, April 2nd. Kindergarten - 2nd grade classrooms will be open from 12:30-1:30pm. 3rd grade - 5th grade classrooms will be open from 1:30-2:30pm. Students were given a paper that they had to return to their teacher granting permission for a grandparent to take the student home. Thank you.

Five members of the Miller City FFA Chapter compete in the State General Livestock Career Development Event (CDE). During the competition, members were tested on their livestock knowledge and evaluated both breeding and market classes of beef cattle, sheep, swine, and goats. This event allowed students to strengthen their evaluation skills, decision-making abilities, and overall knowledge of animal agriculture while proudly representing our chapter.
