The 7th and 8th Grade Wildcat Gifted and Talented (Wildcat GT) students are excited to begin a new project—creating a “Decades Museum” focused on the 1980s!
Students will be researching the decade and collecting authentic items to display in a temporary museum exhibit here at school before the end of the year. We are hoping to create an engaging, interactive experience for our school community.
We would love your help! If you have any items from the 1980s that you would be willing to loan to us for this project, please contact Mr. Lucas to coordinate drop-off or pick-up:

Below are some of the categories and items we are hoping to include:
Music
* Records or cassette tapes from artists like Michael Jackson or Madonna
* Boomboxes
* Sony Walkman
Technology
* VHS tapes
* Floppy disks
* 1980s-style telephones
* Early computers
* Video game systems or cartridges such as the Nintendo Entertainment System
Movies & TV
* VHS tapes or memorabilia from films like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Breakfast Club, or Back to the Future
Fashion & Style
* Bright neon clothing
* Hammer pants
* Leg warmers
* Accessories or items representing popular styles of the time
Historical Events & Culture
* Items or artifacts connected to major events such as the Fall of the Berlin Wall
* Memorabilia, newspapers, or magazines from the decade
Toys & School Life
* Rubik’s Cube
* Transformers
* Cabbage Patch Kids
* Trapper Keepers or other school supplies
If you have something that fits (even if it’s not listed above), we would love to include it!
