Road Scholars Trip

The Road Scholars took their 2018 bi-annual summer trip to the capitals of Ireland, Scotland and England. They spent ten days riding plains, tour buses, trains, ferries, and the tube in London to learn about history, art, music, politics, geology, and culture among other things. This year, Miller city travelers on the adventure included 15 students, parents and grandparents. Scholars visited MANY sites including St. Patrick's Cathedral, Trinity College and Phoenix Park in Dublin. In Northern Ireland  they visited the Giant's Causeway, Titanic Museum and the political murals in Derry and Belfast. In Edinburgh, Scotland we explored the Royal Mile, Harry Potter points of interest and Edinburgh Castle. Experiences in England included Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, and Westminster Abbey. Other stops, depending on personal choice, included Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, the London Eye, a Churchills' War Rooms, the Musical "Wicked" and the bridges of London. Scholars next overseas trip will be a 14 day trip to Italy and Greece. The meeting will be in Mrs. Brooks's room on September 19th at 7:00 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend.
